In the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health of the Corporate Fund “UMC” the number of unique operations that have been carried out increases year by year, including the transplantation of organs and tissues in children. Thuswise in 2012 in the Center was conducted only 4 transplantations, and in 2016 - 25 transplantations of organs and tissues in children. In general during the period of existence of the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health of the Corporate Fund "UMC" were performed 32 kidney transplantations, 10 - renal transplantation from cadavers, 23 - bone marrow and 6 - liver.
This year the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health celebrates its 10th anniversary. The clinic was opened in 2007 by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with the aim to become the locomotive of development for the entire national healthcare system and a model of introduction of advanced international methods of treatment and medical technologies in Kazakhstan.
